WG_tape is a preformed waterproof self-adhesive elastic-rubberized sealing tape with high elastic and mechanical performance. Resists acids, alkalis, salts and detergents. Maintains characteristics over time, even at low or high temperatures. Self-adhesive, versatile, quick and easy to apply.
WHERE TO USE
It is used on roofs, terraces, balconies, bathrooms, to create high-resistance joints in combination with the liquid and cement waterproofing systems of the Gattocel WG line.
WG-tape has strong adhesion on any type of surface. It is ideal for joining and sealing materials of different nature (metal, wood, bitumen, ceramic, concrete, rigid PVC, aluminium).
HOW TO USE
On clean, dry supports and without loose parts. Remove oil, grease, dust or other residues that may hinder adhesion. Pre-treat the chalking surfaces with PR-G primer.
Cut to the expected length and place on the beginning of the joint to be made; then partially remove an edge of the protective film and press from the center of the tape towards the edge, avoiding bubbles or creases. Remove the remaining film and press well over the entire surface with a rubber roller.
WARNINGS
Do not use on damp substrates or for joints with water pressure.
Recoat within 10 days with the required WG waterproofing product.
YELD
For the yield of WG-tape, measure the linear development of the connections between the floor and walls or the joints you intend to create. Also consider drains, manholes, water points, etc. for the calculation of square flanges.
